 In 4-1 section, Prof Ju-En Chien( 簡汝恩 老師 ) will explain more detail of Yogacara thought of mind, and using Cheng Weishi Lun(成唯識論). What are mental factors? The unwholesome deed? Such as greed, anger, and delusion, which are the primary causes of afflictions. Those unwholesome deeds will generate negative karma and suffering. 

4-2 section, Prof Ju-En introduce different type of mental factor, such as Visuddhimagga(the path of purification 清淨道論)of Theravadin has three type, fifty-two mental factors, Abhidharmakosabhasyam(commentary on the treasury of Abhidharma 阿毗達磨俱舍論) of Sarvastivada has seven types, forty-six mental factors. Yogacara has six types, fifty-one mental factors. The earlier research of Sarvastivada were from Dhatukaya(treatise on groups of elements 界身足論) and Prakarana(treatise on categories 品類足論) of Sadpadasastra(six treatises 六足論), such as Mahabhumika(general omnipresent factors 大地法), Kusalamahabhumika(wholesome factors 大善地法), Klesamahabhumika(factors of major afflictions 大煩惱地法), Parittaklesabhumika(factors of minor afflictions 小煩惱地法).However, Abhidharmakosabhasyam add Akusalamahabhumikadharma(unwholesome factors大不善地法)

And Aniyatabhumika(undetermined factors 不定地法) these two on.

4-3 section, Prof Ju-En introduces more detail about the unwholesome deed, the six defiled mental factors, such as raga(greed), pratigha(anger), avidya(delusion),mana(arrogance),vicikitsa(doubt),drsti(unwholesome views). Prof Ju-En using the Triṃśikā-vijñaptimātratā(唯識三十頌) to explain these mental factors. Unwholesome deeds  are  rooted in greed, anger, and delusion.

4-4 section, Prof Ju-En talks about the defiled mental factors in more detail about arrogance, double and unwholesome views. Arrogance, which is a sense of superiority over others, doubts the hesitation and lack of confidence in truths of Buddhism. Unwholesome views has satkaya-drsti(view of corporeal-self 薩迦耶見), antaparigraha-drsti(extreme view on existence 邊執見), drsti-paramarsa-drsti(view of attachment to view 見取見), mithya-drsti(heterodox views 邪見), sila vrata-paramarsa-drsti(view of attachment to the precepts 戒禁取見).

4-5 section, Prof Ju-En talks about the secondary defilements. There are twenty secondary defilements. Anger has factors are krodha(fury 忿), upanaha(resentment 恨), pradasa(spite 惱), irsya(jealousy 嫉), vihimsa(harmfulness 害). Greed has factors are matsarya(avarice 慳), mada(pride 憍). Factors of greed and delusion are maya(deceit 誑), mraksa(hypocrisy 覆), sathya(guile 諂). Controversial and uncertain factors from Abhidharmic thought are musitasmrtita(forgetfulness 失念), asamprajanya(non-insight不正知), viksepa(distraction 散亂).
